Description
Etching of the Washington Bridge, which Rhode Islanders know, connects East Providence to Providence by Pasquale Masiello. Pasquale 'Pat' Masiello (1912-1987) was a beloved and well-collected Rhode Island artist. Born in Providence, Masiello graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1935. This master painter and engraver studied with John Frazier in Provincetown and traveled and painted in Italy many times throughout his career. He was a lifelong member of the Providence Art Club where he exhibited and sold popular Providence urban scenes. Etching is 7" x 8". Comes framed; 13 1/2" x 15 1/2". Signed & inscribed 'AP' (artist proof).
