VALTON TYLER (American/Texas 1944-2017) A DRAWING, "Imaginary Buildings on Stilts," 1968, pen and ink on cream laid paper, signed, monogrammed, and dated L/L, "Valton / VT 68;" sheet 26" x 20", matted 32" x 26". Note: Valton Tyler was a visionary self-taught artist. This drawing is from early in his career when he had begun to develop his distinctive style, but before he learned printmaking. Tyler was represented for much of his career by Valley House Gallery in Dallas. He has been the subject of shows at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, has been collected by various Texas and national museums, and has been reviewed by the New York Times.

There is minor surface soiling. The sheet is affixed between a top and back mat and the margins are not visible. Unframed. There is light and mat stain.
