A 17" cast bronze steam locomotive bell, mounted in a fabricated yoke with a ball finial. Actuation lever is intact. The bell has medium tarnish. The yoke has old black paint over a scaled and pitted surface. Clapper is intact. Consigner attests that this bell is from Bessemer & Lake Erie 2-10-2 locomotive, one that was rebuilt and had the bell relocated.
