A complete unit made by the Union Switch & Signal Co. Includes a porcelain crossbuck, with white field porcelain and black lettering containing numerous reflective pieces. This unit includes a 4 - 1/2" diameter steel post that is mounted in a cast iron base with four slotted securing provisions. The signal unit has two light assemblies with large forward-facing units and smaller rear-ward facing units. This subassembly mounts to the post on a clevis casting secured by a threaded "U" bolt. The large red lenses are included with this lot, but the securing rings are missing. On the back side, the smaller light units have appropriate red lenses. Side light lenses are intact. The unit shows newer silver paint on the chassis components and newer black paint over heavily pitted weather hoods on the attaching components. There is a very nice spiked finial on top of pole.
