Description
Framed original 19th century hand-colored Currier and Ives lithograph titled "The Celebrated Trotting Team of Edward and Swiveller." This framed beautiful lithograph hung in the Phyllis Lucas Gallery in New York City for many years. It depicts a record holding trotting (harness racing) team of two horses and a driver. The company published around 7,500 lithographs in its 72 years in business. This hand-colored Currier & Ives lithograph is in the original frame as it was displayed in the Phyllis Lucas Gallery.
