Gregory and Veronique Peck Large Photograph Album for Ingrid Bergman Tribute Venice, 1983. Large custom-bound photograph album in full tan leather with decorative brass corners. Presented to Veronique and Gregory Peck by the Italian writer, photographer, and humanitarian, Maria Pia Fanfani, with presentation "to Veronique and Gregory from Maria Pia" in gilt on the front board. Silk moire endpapers. Measures 14.25" x 14". Inscribed on the verso of the front endpaper in red pencil, "a Veronique e Greg, cou touts affetto, da Maria Pia, 1983." The first few leaves feature material related to the Tribute to Ingrid Bergman, held in Venice in August 1983 on the one-year anniversary of the actress' death. The album contains 200+ color and B&W photos, by an uncredited photographer or photographers, in three different sizes: 5.5" x 8", 6.25" x 5", and 7.75" x 8" and feature candid portraits of Maria Pia, Gregory and Veronique Peck, Liza Minnelli, Ingrid Bergman's daughter Pia Lindström, Walter Matthau, Charlton Heston, Claudette Colbert, Roger Moore and his wife Luisa, Albert II, Prince of Monaco, Olivia de Havilland, Audrey Hepburn, Dudley Moore, Gina Lollobrigida, and a few portraits of Cecilia Peck, posing by herself, and with parents, on the last couple leaves. The portraits feature the stars as they arrive in Venice, pictured at various parties, dinners, and other social functions, as well as a stage presentation retrospective of Ms. Bergman's life and career. Rear cover shows some scuffs and light abrasions, with the brass corners showing light scratches. Small damp ring to the upper right corner of the silk front endpaper, with slight loss of silk in places. The dampness has affected approximately 14 photographs internally, which show either some image loss from being peeled away or are still stuck together.
