Rare Chinese Ming/Qing Dynasty Huanghuali Side Chair with curved splat back, yoke shaped top bar, panel seat with 2 cross bars underneath, 4 skirts under seat, another under foot rest with cross bars all 4 with through tenons. Height 42 inches (106.5 cm.) X width 20 1/2 inches (52 cm.) X depth 16 1/4 inches (41.2 cm.). PROVENANCE: Christie's: Collection of Bruce Dayton and Ruth Stricker Dayton, Minnesota with label to base.
Condition
Age related wear, joins loose, light color to wood at back, 3 small extensions to 3 feet bottoms; shrinkage to panel seat.
