Description
One 18th century Chinese export rosewood side chair with a flared shaped crest with two open form splats.
Provenance: The collection of Bruce Dayton and Ruth Stricker Dayton - Selections from The Marsh, Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Height: 42 1/2 in x width: 20 1/2 in x depth: 16 in.

Condition
The chair is structurally sound and stable. There are no major splits, cracks, or losses. There are hairline cracks along the seat, most visible along the underside. There is a network of white accretions along the legs and lower back stretcher. The skirt on one of the sides is loose. There is separation to the joints throughout. There is a red discoloration along the extreme edges of the chair, most notably along the edges of the seat. General wear including light scratches throughout.
