Two Cased Merchant Coin Scales with Weights
the first is mid-18th century, German, containing a balance scale with pans and weights, pans appear to retain the original silk thread, underside or the triangular pan is stamped with maker's glyph, all weights appear present including the grain weights contained in a small compartment (case 1 1/4 x 5 3/4 in.). The second is a 18th or early 19th century, balance scale and weights housed in a mahogany case with a frontal compartment for tweezers (1 x 4 1/2 in.).
