Dedicated to Catholics' Massacre by the Cossacks in the church at Kroziu on 22 November 1893.
Residents of the Lithuanian city of Kroziu, which was part of the Russian Empire in 1893, protested against the Roman Catholic Benedictine convent's closure. Russian Governor Klingenberg decided to suppress the discontent with the invasion of 300 Cossacks, who killed and maimed many innocent Lithuanian people. Artist unknown.
