A beautiful signed and numbered gelatin silver photograph by Robert Rauschenberg, this single print comes from his 1979 portfolio of 12 images entitled RAUSCHENBERG PHOTOGRAPHS. All images chosen for this portfolio were shot between 1949-1961 and printed in 1979. Published by Sonnabend Editions (NYC) in an edition of 50 copies, with 10 artists' proofs in Roman numerals. This example is numbered AP VI/X as shown. Authenticity and provenance guaranteed - acquired from the Estate of Ileana Sonnabend by descent to the present owner.

The photograph is entitled Laundry - New York City (the late 1950s) and is signed, numbered, and dated by the artist in black ink (bottom left margin). Full sheet measures approx 13.5" x 13.5" (34 x 34cm); the image size measures approx 12" x 12" (30.48 x 30.48cm). The print is in excellent original condition, never framed, and stored flat in the original clamshell box. As issued by the publisher, The print was professionally mounted into an archival 4-ply beveled picture mat with backing, and ready to drop into your frame of choice.
