Originally listed at $550
Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A fine pair of moccasin boots, each presenting a caramel-hued, suede body on a black, leather sole. The suede of each boot wraps around the tall body and is held in place by 4 brass buttons, all boasting conical forms and starburst or floral designs. The side flap of each is further adorned by 7 to 8 additional decorative buttons, with 4 to 5 travelling up the body of the boot and 3 lined horizontally along the edge of the sole. Both shoes have a small perforation at the top interior of their bodies, one of which is tied with a slender leather strap. Size (both about the same): 9.5" L x 3.8" W x 10.5" H (24.1 cm x 9.7 cm x 26.7 cm)

Condition
Hole in right foot boot. Expected wear to leather with abrasions and fading of color. Otherwise, both are excellent with impressive preservation of suede and leather.
