Modern, futuristic, chayote mask sculpture with engraved tribal like markings and paint. This refractory clay piece comes with a custom stand. Artist initials and date 1988 on bottom right of mask.
Sculpture size: 9.75 inches tall by 12 wide. On its base: 15.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches front to back. About the artist: Started her career as ceramist in the 70 "™s a quickly began having solo exhibitions throughout Caracas and gained notoriety as she began winning awards recognizing her expertise in the Arts of Fire. Lloyda has been known to use several techniques in the use of refractory clay, oxides, enamels, iron fillings and chayote.
