Featured in this lot is this original framed art circa 1899 and from artist Edwin Willard Deming born in 1860 and died in 1942. The artwork features a wonderfully and professionally crafted piece of oil on canvas artwork that shows two Native American men hunting a bull moose with a cow in the background laying in weight behind a bush. The artwork shows on the bottom some mixed media of Native American men on horseback hunting buffalo in a ledger art style. The artwork is signed in the top left hand corner of the artwork. The artwork shows Christies tags on back. Edwin Willard Deming (1860–1942) was an artist in the US who depicted scenes of indigenous tribe members. He was a painter, illustrator, and sculptor. One of his murals was adapted for use on U.S. postage. The condition of this framed original artwork is good with no obvious signs of damage to the artwork and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this framed artwork is 21 1/4" x 16 3/4" and the visible art measures 14 1/4" x 9 3/4".
