American Folk Art School (19th century), "The General Lincoln," oil on board, unsigned, title label verso stating, "Painted by: William Hudson, an original Trustee and loaned by John P. Barnes, present Trustee," board: 16"h x 20"w, overall (with frame): 18.5"h x 22.25"w. Provenance: Estate of Joanna Barnes and Jack Warner (Santa Barbara, California). Ms. Barnes was a Hollywood film actress featured in movies such as "Auntie Mame (1958)" and "The Parent Trap (1961)". Mr. Warner was a prominent architect.
