Thomas Edison Western Union Stock Ticker Model 35-A - c. 1910. An original self-winding Wall Street stock ticker by Thomas A. Edison. Model 35-A with brass frame, telegraph mechanism, twin alpha-numeric rollers and tape feed with escapement mechanism, over electro-magnet. The machine is housed on a cast iron base with lettering stating" Quotations Furnished by the Western Union Telegraph Co. Apply to Local Manager". Covered by clear glass dome. Machine is engraved "M'F'D by T.A. Edison Inc" Serial #9573. Overall height - 15 1/8" h. Condition: Normal age appropriate signs of use/wear. Some fading to lettering and paint flake losses on cast iron base. Glass dome has thin imperfection from manufacture.
