Description
This is the Kingsport Press 1938 hardcover publication of LaTourette Stockwell's Dublin
Theatres and Theatre Customs 1637 — 1820 (406 pages), number 209 of a limited, 500 copy printing, signed by Stockwell on the front end page, beneath the note "For the Robinsons".
The cover is structurally sound, with a secure attachment at the spine, but with a sunned and stained spine, which is frayed to its ends, and with light stains and sun fade elsewhere.
The front end page has a bookplate with the inscription "For the Robinsons" signed by the author, LaTourette Stockwell. The only other extraneous element is the written-in copy number 209 (of 500) on the copyright page. A number of pages are sunned and stained, most to the front end pages (see title page photo) and illustration spreads. Most pages have no stains. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages.
