THOMAS N. WAUL (1813 - 1908) Confederate brigadier general who surrendered to Union forces at Vicksburg, he later commanded a brigade under Walker in the Red River campaign. Fine content manuscript D.S., 4pp. legal folio, San Antonio, Mar. 9, 1860, an indenture between Waul and the New Orleans firm of A. J. Rugeley & Co. wherein Waul sells two 600+ acre parcels of land to Rugeley, as well as 27 slaves, listed by name with their individual ages added which range from 'infant' to 50 years of age, for the sum of $19,604.04. Very good.
