Description
(1885 - 1947) Austrian general, Commander of the XVIII Mountain Corps, Commanding General in the Balkans, and commander-in-chief in German-occupied Norway. Bohme was tried for the massacre of thousands of Serbian civilians and committed suicide in prison. Lot of five photographs of Bohme, personally annotated by him, 4.75 x 3 in. b/w. The images include: Bohme with Col. Adrien van der Hoop, Col. Gen. Eduard Dietl, and Maj. Gen. August Krakau while receiving a report, dated ’20.5.1943’; three photos featuring him posing with four other German soldiers outside of the Kananainen Headquarters, dated ‘25.7.1943’; and Bohme with Finnish Maj. Gen. Tagernas on a walk at the Kananainen Headquarters. Fine.
