Uncommon grouping of documents and photographs concerning the service of Kriegsmarine artilleryman Gefreiter Karl Kranke, born Sep. 16, 1926 in Waldock, Kassel. Included in the lot is: Kranke's wehrpass issued June 22, 1943, showing his service in Heeres Fest. Artillerie Abt. 1505 from Oct. 2, 1944 to Oct. 31, 1944 as well as several month's previous service in an ersatz artillery unit and promotion to gefreiter on Mar. 1, 1945; soldbuch issued June 15, 1944, showing earlier and later artillery service, though his postings are illegible; Reichluftschutzbund ausweis, 4pp. 12mo., Adorf, July 15, 1943, studienden-ausweis picturing Kranke, multiple stamps expiring Feb. 28, 1944; NSDAP Studetenbund membership card with dues stamps, Hamburg, and six postcard photographs showing the review of sailors at 'Trotz[?]' Also included is Kranke's mathematic notebook, about 50pp. 4to., with 'adversity' homemade covers certainly made during the war years, along with two documents from family members, including an arbeitsbuch and R.L.B. mitgliedsausweis. Very good overall.
