Condition
The painting is in good condition overall with no major cracks, losses, or restoration. The surface is stable. All margins have a stretcher bar mark, most noticeable along the upper margin. To the upper left quadrant, there is a very thin horizontal line of paint loss. The paint is rubbed against the frame to the extreme edge of the lower left corner. To the lower margin, there is a possible restoration to below the buck when inspected under UV light. There is an initial "F.S" visible under UV light to the lower left quadrant, visible in the lot listing. All four corners have paint loss where the painting rubs against the frame. There is craquelure started to form along the sky. Inspected out of frame. Wear to the frame. Please contact us for a detailed condition report. Please note that the lack of a condition statement does not imply perfect condition. Email condition@revereauctions.com with any condition questions.
