A Regency mahogany breakfront bookcase, early 19th century, the molded cornice above four gothic pointed arched glazed astragal molded doors, enclosing eight short adjustable shelves, over six oak lined drawers, flanked by molded paneled cupboard doors to either side.

With an overall slightly musty odor from storage. General fading, wear and movement to veneers. Some glass panels have been replaced. The cornice with reinforcement and rebuilding, there is an old break and glued repair ot the top left. The upper center section with a sizeable veneer loss to the lower left side just above molding on lower section. There is a large lozenge shaped patch to the lower center section. Dings, dents, surface scratches and small losses throughout, heaviest wear to the plinth base. The brass hardware is period but later hiding plugged center holes in each drawer front.
