Billy's uncle was the famous jug town potter ML Owens and Billy grew up in the tradition of southern folk pottery. He is a very accomplished potter and began to number his kilns on the bottom of his pieces to date them. early numbers are under kiln mark #30. His kiln mark is now up to 60+. Only firing 2 times a year on average.
