Description
French Alabaster, Marble, Champleve Enamel and Porcelain Pedestal, ca. 1900, the tan marble base supporting the champleve-trimmed column standard H.- 38 in., W.- 10 in., D.- 10 in.
Condition
Marble top has two small chips to the underside and its mount to the pedestal is rusted. The marble top edge has multiple small nicks and three small holes to the center that have been filled. The different component pieces are off kilter and the piece wobbles. The enamel is slightly chipped and worn in areas. The metal is oxidized and the feet are corroded. The rear marble piece around the base is detached but present. Wear is consistent with age and use. This is a charming example.
