After Auguste Moreau (French, 1834-1917), "Cupid," Art Nouveau Patinated Bronze Newel Post Lamp, ca. 1900, the figure holding two torcheres, cast signature "Aug. Moreau" on self base, presented on a black marble socle with a brass artist plaque, Overall- H.- 29 1/2 in., W.- 16 in., D.- 9 in. Provenance: The Estate of Jay Calamia, property from the Dufour-Plassan House, New Orleans, Louisiana.
