Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE; Near East, Seljuk Dynasty, ca. 11th century CE. A lovely ensemble of 4 figurines of quadrupeds: 1 leaded bronze horse, 1 bronze horse, 1 brass horse, and 1 leaded bronze lion. The stylized brass horse with the thin, curved neck was previously part of a Seljuk lock. Size of largest: 1.8" L x 0.5" W x 1.6" H (4.6 cm x 1.3 cm x 4.1 cm); of horse on stand: 2.2" H (5.6 cm)
Provenance: private East Coast collection, New York, New York, USA, acquired before 2010

Condition
Figure on stand has some minor losses to legs, but other are intact. All have expected surface wear as shown. Otherwise, all are in very nice condition with rich patina to surface.
