Detailed Item Description: This record industry award recognizing Columbia Records is dated 1999, making it about 23 years old. It is presented to Columbia Records and was owned by Jerry Blair, a Columbia record executive who also held roles at CBS, Chrysalis, and other record industry companies.

Blair played a key role in the success of artists of the artists on this plaque and many others, also serving as Mariah Carey's manager before joining Columbia Records. The award is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Blair's son, who later took possession of his father's awards and memorabilia (see image of letter, son's name is redacted on image, buyer will receive unredacted copy).

The award is in VG condition with only minor mars on its' frame and plexiglass. Back is blank.
