With fore-edge painting of tall ship at Santa Cruz De Traneriffe. Willis worked with several notable American writers including Edgar Allan Poe and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and became the highest-paid magazine writer of his day.

Condition
Some scuffing to leather and gilt; ownership stamp to front endpapers, scattered foxing; very good.
