Very nice Germany and Austria Patriotic Bowl with Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany and Kaiser Franz Josef of Austria dated 1914-1916
Germany and Austria were allies at the beginning of WW1. There was a true fever of patriotism at the outset of the war. This plate shows the two Kaisers and their respective coats of arms.
This patriotic plate of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Kaiser Franz Josef is dated 1914-1916. The porcelain plate has an iridescent or opal like finish surrounding the outer trim with three bands of gold circling the bowl. There is a wreath of oak and laurel leaves surrounding the Kaisers with their countries colors on each side of their images. The outer edge is scalloped and the lettering of the bowl is in gold.

Condition
The bowl is in Very Good condition. The gold lettering of the bowl has some faded spots and shows the appropriate wear for its age.
