Description
A Pre-Columbian Middle Cauca (Ecuador) face neck stirrup form bottle vessel circa 1000-1450 AD having a flat based bowl, large hollow stirrup handle surmounted by a human head, the whole painted with black and red resist designs. The ears and nose are pierced to allow for attachment of ornaments. Provenance: Purchased from NY dealer—The Lands Beyond, 1218 Lexington Ave, NY, NY. Originally from The de Young Museum, from the collection of Lisa Royse, Atlanta, GA.

Very good condition commensurate with age. Large crack at top.
