BIOGRAPHY:
Edith May Brisac (1894-1974 ) was born in Walton, NY. She studied at Pratt Institute, and later at Columbia University, at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In the 1930s she moved to Texas where she settled in Denton. She was a painter, printmaker, and teacher. For many years she was a member of the Texas Fine Artists Association and National Watercolor Society. She exhibited at the Coronado Cuarto Centennial Exposition in New Mexico in 1941. And later at the Dallas Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute, Laguna Beach, Kansas City, and University of California.
