LOW RESERVE: Following his 1983 Endangered Species prints, Andy Warhol continued to visually enforce his devotion to sensitive wildlife in a 1986 literature collaboration with conservation-focused Doctor Kurt Benirschke. Warhol’s Vanishing Animals series are a group of colour-rich collages that provide a tactile and emotional outlet into understanding his wildlife sympathies.This is a Collage and silkscreen composition on paper. It is Stamped once by the Estate of Andy Warhol and twice by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc., initialed by the co-founder of the Andy Warhol Foundation Vincent Fremont and inscribed with the number 89.090 on the reverse. Condition
This work appears to be in good condition overall. Minor abrasions to the center, soft creasing in places, and irregular edges with minor tearing, likely from studio practice; light lifting to some collage elements. Small repairs to upper right and margins. Remains of previous hinging to reverse.
