LeRoy Neiman enjoys a richly deserved international reputation as an artist. He was without a doubt one of the most popular and widely recognized artists on the contemporary world scene. His appeal, as well as subject matter, is broad & universal. He sketched on location, and later in his studio developed these sketches into painting. Neiman studied at the Art Institute in Chicago & spent the following decade there as a member of its faculty. His work has been exhibited in museums & galleries around the world, among them; the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh; the Corcoran in Washington, DC; the Indianapolis Museum of Art; the Musee de Peaux-Arts in Artes, France; Musee de Pellas Artes in Caracas, Venezuela; and the Gallery Florentina d’Arte in Florence, Italy. Mr. Neiman passed away in 2012.
