Description
Oil on canvas 20 x 16 in, 33 x 29 in (framed)
Condition
From a Oaxacan father and American mother, Guillermo Olguin expressed in his paintings the experiences derived from their training between Europe and the United States as well as the traditions of black descent communities of Oaxaca and Guerrero. He joined Cornish School of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, United States, shortly after and did a postgraduate at the Academy of Arts in Budapest, Hungary. Famous for the expressive force he uses in his works, Guillermo Olguin establishes a link between pagan rituals, mythology and poetry itself. He has participated individually and collectively in more than thirty exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Paraguay, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Finland and Japan.
