Description
"Be My Valentine" vintage porcelain heart shaped jewelry box, Enesco's Garfield, 1981. The original Enesco label and the original certification of the Garfield figurine series which started in 1978 are present. See photos.
The heart shaped box is c.3" x 3.1/4" [7.6cm x 8.3cm]; 1.1/18" [2.8cm] deep w/o lid. The box is 4" [10.2cm] high including Garfield. No chips, no hairlines, near fine condition.
Enesco is an American company specializing in the sales and distribution of giftware. The company was known as an industry leader as it carried the Precious Moments porcelain figurine line of products during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
In 1958, Enesco was the import division for the N. Shure Company. Enesco was founded by its first President, Louis R. "Bob" Miller, Jr. When N. Shure was sold to Butler Brothers, the import division was spun off. The name "Enesco" was an acronym from the N. Shure company, "N S Co", and phonetically named his company EnEsCo.
