Two wonderful artworks by two noted 20th century American landscape artists. One oil on board painting of a seaside landscape by Alice B. Doughten (NJ, 1880 - 1969) and one pastel on paper of rocks and an apple tree, possibly by a river, by Maureen Keough (MA, 1939 - 2017). Both pieces are excellent examples of American landscape art of the 20th century, and show each artist’s original vision and technique. Both are framed. The Doughten is in good condition, with minor yellowing. It is slightly loose in its frame. The Keough is in good condition. Doughten measures 12” by 16” (board), 15” by 19 ¼” (framed).
