While the date of this portrait is too early for Major Henry Irwin (1820-1868), it could possibly be that of his father, Henry Irwin, Sr.
Henry Irwin, Sr. (1779-1823) was born in York, Pennsylvania and is buried in Orbisonia, Pennsylvania.
