one cup has a small shallow flake loss to the interior side of its upper rim area; another cup has what appears to be a hairline fissure to its body, however, under examination with a strong light source it instead appears to be a craze line to the clear glaze; it does not appear on the exterior side and it is not in a razor sharp line (it is jagged or erratic); and it is not felt with a fingernail test; otherwise, each cup and saucer appears to be in generally good condition
