Early brass microscope, probably by Newton, London, c. 1870, maker's plaque missing from base, patinated brass, rack-and-pinion coarse adjustment, milled screw on the tube for fine adjustment, cross table, single mirror, in wooden case with lens holder, additional box of non-matching lenses, small box with six glass slides, all pieces with wear consistent with age and use including scratches, small dents or damages, sold as found and not tested for working condition, microscope: 14" h.
