Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white and doucai design color, depicted of flying fu bats over grounds, flowers bloom and interlocking scrolling tendril. The word bat Fu, in Chinese sounds identical to the word for luck which is a pair of homophones implied linguistic symbolism the symbolic meaning of bat is commonly recognized as good fortune in Chinese culture and meaning the five blessings, is a concept that signify a grouping of certain good fortunes and luck in Chinese culture. Fu can be translated to mean bat, prosperity, good fortune, and can even delineate happiness.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue ring lines.
