Description
Felton Jarvis Talks About Elvis RARE Radio Interview Vinyl LP 1981 - Felton Jarvis, Elvis Presley's record producer, was also a performer and recording artist. In December of 1980, Felton Jarvis put the finishing touches on a brand new Elvis project, titled "Guitar Man." Jarvis met with RCA's Jerry Flowers to prepare material for a promotional interview. That interview was to be recorded in the studio the next week and then used to promote Elvis' latest album, "Guitar Man." However, Jarvis suffered a stroke a few days after the interview (recorded on cassette tape). Jarvis died Jauary 3, 1981 at the age of 46. The material on this record is from that interview, from a studio-enhanced reproduction of that cassette. A printed partial transcript is included; it was designed for stations to personalize as an open-ended radio interview. RCA – FJ-1981.
