This highly sought-after Commemorative Envelope features a first day of issue with a 3-cent stamp. The cache illustration features a portrait of General Abner Doubleday, an image of the Doubleday Field inscribed The Birthplace of Baseball and an image of The National Baseball Museum. The caption reads "BASEBALL CENTENNIAL." This envelope also is stamped with a Baseball Centennial Stamp, the first baseball stamp issued by the U.S. government.
