American Colonial Document Awarding Damages, July 1756, H 6.5'' W 8.5'' Printed and hand written document awarding fifty pounds to an E. Hawkes, who had been beaten and bruised with the handle of a whip. Signed by Joseph Bowditch. Embossed seal in the lower left. Framed under glass, H 8.5", W 11.5".
Condition
Folding creases with slight tearing at the sheet edges. Writing on the back of the sheet has slightly bled through.
