Martin Brothers Stoneware Figural Clock Case
1877
In the Gothic style, of architectural form, with a circular white enameled dial with black Roman numerals, with monopodial winged griffins, winged putti heads, and other gothic motifs, inscribed R.W. Martin London 2/1877 No. 59; further inscribed on the underside R.W. Martin. Height 16 inches, width 8 7/8 inches.

the clock is presently fitted with a later clock movement; there is a pendulum; there is no winding key; there are various drying and firing cracks to the case, most notably, located on different sides of the plinth base; the plinth base has two drill holes, located at either side, possibly as made but possibly later, presumably to secure the clock case to a stable surface below; otherwise, appears to be in generally good condition; not black lighted
