Painting of the Chinese school in which a text is read in which it says "office policy of the only child" and "medical team of vaccination for families of only child". The "one-child-per-couple policy" - or "one-child policy" - was a population control measure established in urban areas of China, in force since 1979, with the aim of establishing radical birth control to reduce excessive population growth or overpopulation. This work could be the original for a poster that was distributed to political offices all over China. Women and children, warmly dressed in caps and scarves, scarves and thick coats, are attended to by a smiling nurse. The artist wanted to play plastically by contrasting colourful decorative patterns in the costumes of the figures.
