He rose to prominence performing an electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues and enjoyed great success in contrast to his extremely humble beginnings. Offered is a color lithograph issued by Manuscript Originals in 1999 that was copyrighted by Hooker in 1962 at the time of the release of his hit "Boom Boom". The crude folk art of Hooker is well known but it is charming and important.
