Ray, James Earl: ALS and Two TLS a Christmas Card and Rare Signed Portrait Photo in Handcuffs all to Reverend Samuel Jackson of Philadelphia (1928-1998) Assassin of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968 and a recidivist criminal prior to the murder, Ray was jailed on numerous occasions in the 50s and early 60s. While living in Los Angeles in 1967 he spent the great part of his time campaigning for George Wallace. In 1968 he drove to Georgia, rented a room in a boarding house, and set about his plans for the assassination. Ray avoided the death penalty by pleading guilty to the murder

Included is an autographed letter signed, two typed letters signed, a Christmas card and a signed B&W 8 x 10" close-up portrait photo (by World Wide Photos) in handcuffs which is quite rare.
