Description
Mid-19th century German hand-painted porcelain liquor dispenser with a decorative stand by Meissen Porzellan, the first European hard-paste porcelain manufacturer. The dispenser is shaped like a barrel topped by a figure of a drunk Hussar. The stand has a scrolling tripodal form with a putto figure on each knee. The sides are painted with fruit and grape leaves in the Rococo style.Crossed swords hallmark is underneath the stand.
