Christ in prayer with two apostles sleeping at his feet; angel appearing from the sky; soldiers approaching in far right background. Artist's monogram on the lower left. Framed in a wood frame. Acquired from the estate of George Longstreet, a renown collector of fine original illustrations and prints, and whose collection has appeared in dozens of museums and exhibits over the last four decades. In 1976, Armand Hammer acquired 5000 Daumier objects that George Longstreet began to amass in Paris more than 50 years ago. The Daumier collection is now part of the permanent collection in the Armand Hammer Wing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Collector stamp on reverse. Restorations to the left and right bottom corners. The print is trimmed virtually no margin, and approximately 1/8" missing to the bottom edge of the print.
