Jonathan Swift was an Irish clergyman and writer. He is known most notably for classics such as Gullivers Travels and Drapiers Letters. “Travels into Several Remote Nations” is both a satire on human nature and a parody of the "travellers tales" literary subgenre. It is Swifts best known full-length work, and an English Literature classic.
This 1877 edition was illustrated by H K Browne and includes three additional stories: “The Adventures of Clever Jack,” and “The Captives Daughter; a Tale of the Salt Mines of Poland”, and “No-Mans Land.”
